    Sorry, I missed that today. I tried now.
    This is the weirdest one yet! According to my app log and Task Manager it is running, but the UI did not open. No window at all! I tried twice to rule out some weird one-off issue (can it actually get any weirder??)

    It runs from a scheduled task as per my #21 ok, using 'Run'.

    It does now seem to run when run from command prompt on my machine too.
    Any chance you could try if it auto-starts on your machine, please?

    Also runs as a task on logging on from task scheduler as Try3's suggestion way back.

    As it's self written and unsigned some security software will not like it and block it.
    Too true- Avast has gone away for over 30 mins now and reported 'it's cracking' !

    Firstly, create an elevated shortcut according to the following tutorial:
    How to Add Create Elevated Shortcut to New Context Menu in Windows 10

    I have just done so. See below:

    Then, go to Task Scheduler Library-->Apps-->Homeautomation.Manager-->Properties-->Trigger.
    Select "At system startup".

    What security program are you running? I'm using Avast, so some Defender features are disabled.

Since the recent update of Office 365 to Microsoft 365, MS Word is opening two copies every time I boot up Win 10 (latest 1909). I looked in start up and nothing there. I looked at Word options and didn't see anything. ???
