How to auto-start my own .NET app when Windows starts?

    Out of curiosity, as you've sensibly tried delaying the scheduled task, try running task manually from the task scheduler.

    Run the following:

    C:\HA\Homeautomation.Manager.exe

    Good news! Now, run the following via Command Prompt:

    Same thing... Starts briefly, then crashes.

    So, in summary, I can only start the app by manually clicking on the shortcut on the desktop (or the pinned icon on the taskbar) or with Start-Run.

    Copy the shortcut into the following folder:

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp

    sfc /scannow
