Apps can't talk to each other - Group Policy?

Hi all, I've probably changed a setting in the Group Policy MMC which I regret but can't locate to change back, could someone please direct me?

In MS OneNote 2007, when I copy a hyperlink (e.g. right-click over a tab and select 'Copy Hyperlink to this Page'), and then paste that hyperlink anywhere else within OneNote, I can't then use the hyperlink. When I click on the hyperlink I get the following dialogue box, 'This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. please contact your system administrator'

Similarly with my ePub reader (Icecream ebook reader), if you change the location of your ebook, you can relocate it with the properties dialogue box, or you should be able to by clicking on the folder symbol which should then open up file explorer, allowing you to navigate to the new location. But I can't because it does not respond, and I suspect it is the same group policy restriction:

Could anyone suggest where I might look to resolve this.

Many great thanks in advance, Chig.

I don't know what is happening in your case, but have you checked the following tutorial to see what Policies you might have applied in Group Policy Editor ?

Cheers das10, yep I had already checked that, well I'd checked according to option one, wasn't aware of the filter option. Nothing there looks remotely connected.

The only other thing is that I played around with Winaero Tweaker. Now that you have confirmed for me that it is nothing in gpedit.msc, possibly I caused it via a setting in Winaero Tweaker.

Edit:couldn't find any relevant setting in WT

If you are fairly certain its due to something in Winaero Tweaker, you could, to re-confirm it, try exporting all the "tweaks", then reset all the tweaks and check the issue after restarting the PC. If there is no difference, you could then import all those "tweaks" back.

( Note: Please read the online help page (link on the import/export setting) first in case you lose any settings which might be important to you such as the tweaks related to 'advanced system appearance like "System Font", Status Bar font" )
