    Yes, there is.

    You may try booting in Try Ubuntu (any LTS base distro) and open File Manager to see the hard drive content.

    It is about the best place to be to recover data loss. Insert the Ubuntu bootable stick and boot directly in the boot sequence. For Lenovo it would be F12, HP F10.
