Uninstall Resplence Registrar Reg Mgr leaves keys & context menu

I installed & then uninstalled Resplendence Registrar Registry Manager. I uninstalled it using Programs & Features/uninstall a program. However, when I right click on a .reg file, there's still an option to Edit with Registrar.

I searched the registry for any keys, etc. with the name Registrar & there are 219 of them. I have Wise Program Uninstaller (which, unfortunately, I didn't use earlier) & it didn't find anything to uninstall. I guess it doesn't search registry keys if there's no .exe file.

What are my best options now?
    1) reinstall & then use Wise Program Uninstaller?
    2) backup the registry & then delete 219 keys (which will take a long time because it can only be done 1 at a time)?
    3) something else??
    4) see additional question under P.S.

As always, thank you in advance for your knowledge & advice!

P.S. Just used File Types Manager; searched for reg files, & disabled "Edit with &Registrar". Can I delete that entire entry?

At a guess reinstall then use this portable app:

    HiBit Uninstaller

    Run as admin.

If that doesn't work I might install Resplendence Registrar Registry Manager (I've used it before) and try yo track down the entry.

Another guess: Recently I had a similar problemand the context menu entry was here:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Applications\ "name of program"

It might not help in your case.

Deleting the key in Post #4 removed the context menu entry for reg files on my machine.

I should have refreshed this page before responding. I didn't see all the new posts & will check them out.

Thank you for your quick response.
    1) I downloaded & ran as admin HiBitUninstaller-Portable, but it found nothing to uninstall.
    2) I reinstalled Registrar Registry Manager & then used HiBit as admin to uninstall. Still found even more registry entries & one context menu entry (Edit with &Registrar)
    3) Reinstalled Registrar & uninstalled with Wise Program Uninstaller. Same result & registry entries went from 219 to 225 to 220.
    4) Reinstalled Registrar & uninstalled with Wise Program Uninstaller. This time using Forced Uninstall Same result & registry entries went to 223.

I’m able to get rid of the context menu entry using File Types Manager/Reg & disabling the “Edit with & Registrar”.

    My only questions now are:
    1) Should I simply delete the Edit with &Registrar? It’s not causing any problem, but it’s not needed.
    2) Should I try deleting some the Registrar entries in the registry (after backup, of course)? I note that I have folders like C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-c..cn-config-registrar_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.18362.1_none_f97b148313617c98

    & C:\Windows\WinSxS\wow64_microsoft-windows-c..cn-config-registrar_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.18362.1_none_03cfbed547c23e93
that might not even be related to Resplence Registry Manager.

By the way, I looked at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Applications\
but neither Registrar or Resplendence was found there.

Just delete the key. It's no problem.

Leave that alone and use WINSXS Cleanup instead.

If they remain - just leave them be.

Was not there for me either.

There's more in MRU but sometime maybe clean up MRU lists if and when you don't need them.

Thank you again for all your advice. For some reason, using HiBit Uninstaller - portable did not do as good a job as when I actually installed HiBit. In any event, I was able to get rid of everything relevant, except the context menu item, which I deleted. I then ran CcCleaner & it picked up some old registry items that still existed on uninstalled programs, so I used that to uninstall it.

Thanks also for the information on WinSxS. It's only about 8GB on my 1TB hard drive, so I can wait the 30 days for clean up. But now I know that I can use it, if & when I need it.

Your time, patience & expertise is greatly appreciated!
