Because Word had a odd look to the icon, I ran the trouble shooter. Other users told me their 2016 and 2019 Word also looked like mine - very different from any other desktop icons.
The troubleshooter found that Word was incompatible and fixed it.
Is this an issue that should concern me?
There is an internet forum for Microsoft Office with a section on Word; someone there may have insight into your problem.

There may have been others in the Microsoft Office and 365 section of this forum with help with the Office question.
I have Office 2016 Pro Plus.....and during the years of updates and version changes. I found it regularly became corrupted and needing repaired or reinstalling it. Then to change the actual look of my "PAID" software to the bastardized 365 look. I had enough. So I just quit using it. I don't mind change but if that change breaks a perfectly working program....that change is worthless to me.
So now I just use Liebre Office. It just works and suits my needs.
Nothing wrong with the Icon, same as those you have for the Mail App and the new version of the Edge Browser on your Taskbar.
Those are consistent with the new style Icons.

Mine is not off of a disc it is click to run. just to avoid confusion. I know they made new ones but this is shrunken.Those are consistent with the new style Icons.[/QUOTE]
