DriverAgent is putting a desktop icon every time I open program

I'm having a tiny problem where the DriverAgent.com program is putting a desktop icon whenever I run the program. I delete the previous one and a new one pops up. Is there any way to get this to stop? There is no option to turn it off in the app as far as I can tell. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Well, one way would be to uninstall DriverAgent. You will find very few long-time members of this forum that will condone using a third party "driver update" program.

Why wouldn't they want a driver update program?

Because the vast majority of them are ad driven snake oil. The vast majority of 100s of millions of Windows computers run just fine without them. They take up computer resources needlessly.

It is kind of suspicious (at least to me) it keeps putting an icon on my desktop when I tell it I don't want it. I asked their support about it so I'll post if they actually tell me anything. In the meantime, is there a way to stop this kind of thing from happening for the sake of knowing?

Not unless there is a setting in the program itself.

I deleted it so that's that. Thanks for your help.
