Problem with selecting pen in Whiteboard

I have a laptop with touchscreen and a (active) stylus. I use the whiteboard a lot but I have a problem with selecting a pen/brush in the toolbar: when I click on it with the stylus it keeps selecting 2 pens - the first selected pen is still active. The result is that sometimes the program switches between the two selected pens. This morning I even had three pens at the same time selected! Is anyone familiar with this problem? I couldn't find any info about it elsewhere. I'm on Windows 10.1909 Home. My laptop is a Lenovo Yoga C940.

Try to press on one pen, and hold it for few seconds.

I saw reports of this (and maybe happened to me one or twice ago..)

Thanks Andre, but that isn't really working for me - the color picker pops up and that's it. All selected pens are still selected.

It must have something to do with the stylus, I think. I use Whiteboard on my desktop pc as well, but there I use a writing tablet for it and with that I never have this problem. On my Lenovo laptop I have to use the mouse to elect another pen because the stylus is misbehaving

Could be that touch board and screen are interacting somehow. If you're using screen, try to disable touch board.

What do you mean by 'touch board'? If you mean the (Wacom) tablet: that is connected to my desktop, not to my laptop that has the problems.

Ah. I disabled it but that didn't solve it. I am beginning to suspect that the problem is somewhere with my laptop and the drivers or software for the stylus. An old crappy 2-in-1 laptop that I have lying around doesn't have this problem with Whiteboard.
