I wanted to send feedback to Microsoft, can't login to app

I wanted to complain about having to do a system restore where evidentally all my drivers had been changed and I am thinking KB4497165 was to blame because I noticed it after I restored sitting in windows update wanting to install (again I assume). I wanted to log feedback so I tried logging with my microsoft account but it said sorry its problably their fault. v 1909.

I also need to login since this is the only way to keep a windows 10 pro retail install activated through major upgrades.

    If you go here:
    https://account.microsoft.com/
can you log in with your MS (live id) account?

Yes I can, sorry forgot to mention that I can login via browser.

I've just noticed that it lists my PC's computer name in the browser (the one you choose yourself).

Edit: This post is redundant, I can track my problem. I can't link but this is the content:

    "
System restore informed me that all my drivers had changed, but system restore fixed the problem. I was going to reinmage the disk from a backup. I didn't know the problem but I think it could be related to this update which may have been rolled back with the system restore. I was not aware of KB4497165 until I checked windows update. I understand its a fix for intel CPU vulnerabilities, I have an AMD 3900x and I don't want windows update changing all my drivers and crippling my expensive hardware. And BTW this is the second time I wrote this report. It asked me to sign in and I did so and then asked me to submit some feedback."

    And the title:
"KB4497165 is ready to install but I just had to rollback my PC due to extreme lag on the desktop."

A number of AMD users have found they have been offered this Intel update - see comments under the pertinent article for the update in the News section. I have no idea why.
    KB4497165 Intel microcode updates for Windows 10 1903 and 1909 May 19

FYI: (but no explanation- just general stuff)
    https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/core-infrastructure-and-security/demystifying-microcode-updates-for-intel-and-amd-processors/ba-p/1000845

    https://www.windowslatest.com/2020/05/21/windows-10-kb4497165-update-released/
In the knowledge base page, Microsoft notes that users should install this particular update for select Intel processors only, but users are reporting that KB4497165 has also appeared on PCs with AMD CPU.

If you see the update on a non-Intel PC, no action is required on your part and you can install it.

I may be missing the point here.
I appreciate that there appears to be, some manner of error - perhaps - with Microsoft offering the microcode update to systems with AMD processors.
How that is occurring I have no idea.
However I feel reasonably certain that one of your possible problems MAYBE that as I read it you have
Win10 Pro N installed not activated
    on your two systems.

If Windows 10 is not activated then the hardware hash of the computer is not registered on the Microsoft servers.
As I understand the situation, Windows 10 Pro N was made available to the EU market following a court case where Microsoft were accused of taking unfair advantage by effectively operating a monopoly business with Windows 10 Pro including the usual media apps and Skype.

The result was that Microsoft made available the N version that did not include these preloaded media apps and Skype, leaving users free to install what they wished.
OR indeed to install the usual Microsoft included apps.

I would suggest that you have no real valid complaint against Microsoft. If the OS is unactivated then my understanding is that you have no contract with them and they likewise have none with you.

I adjusted my profile so in future I do not recieve (as I have before) such curt replies. Your attitude and this forum's stance on helping users upgrade for free from earlier versions of windows is at odds.

The way I see it - I'm just helping microsoft fix their buggy software whether I paid for the privilege or not.

I wish to assure you that I was not intending to be curt.
I had read, before I replied to you, all of your previous posts on the subject of your Windows 10 ProN

On one of them you asked about the clean install of Windows 10 on your Dad`s laptop, which had already been upgraded to 10 Pro from 7 Pro, as I understand it.

If it had a windows 7 licence for the version of 10 to which it was upgraded, then that 10 licence was digitally activated and the hardware hash of the computer registered on the Microsoft activation servers.
Once that has been done, a clean install of the same version of 10, can then be made and activation, of that clean install is usually automatic, against the registered hardware hash.

As you have posted on one thread - the gatherosstate, can be used to make the clean install, but again that is from the version installed to the same version eg. Pro to Pro etc.

On the thread mentioned above, about your Dad`s laptop - you said
I will do my Dad's laptop, just need to create a new win10pro N iso. I was making a win 10 pro iso but then the activation kicked in:
I can assure you, beyond doubt, that you cannot upgrade from 7 Pro to 10 Pro N, or indeed change 10 Pro to 10 Pro N and end up with an activated version - at least not by the authorised means of activation.

Additionally if you have 10 Pro N and install the Media Feature Pack, which is free, it effectively converts 10 Pro N to normal Pro, but the version, as far as upgrades etc are concerned and for activation purposes if - reactivation is necessary is still
    Pro N.

I realise you have changed it, as you say, but I replied in the context of you stating on your computer specs
Win10 Pro N installed not activated

If you interpreted my reply as curt, please accept my apologies.

Well I just had my Dad bring his laptop round and because the input pad and using a mouse was buggy I decided that replacing the SSD was not going to cut it and I bought him a new laptop with better specs (compared to a 2011 top of the line laptop):
Medion 15.6in Ryzen 5 8GB 512 GB SSD Notebook laptop for lb429.99 delivered at Aldi - hotukdeals
    15.6in Ryzen 5 8GB 512 GB Notebook - ALDI UK
