This guru suggests just using the system cleaning. He spends a lot of time showing you how to automate the task.

Follow the instructions and it is safe, some say it is better than CCleaner. I have been using it off & on for years.

I don't use it for deleting individual files, but I do use it to clean the drives. Make sure you go through all the filters it has and unslect the ones you want to keep.

Yes, I've used a while on several PCs with no problems. You can review any files it finds to delete before you go ahead and remove them

If you're not sure, just use the installation default settings. Then it's perfectly safe.

From their own website (no need to use a software service website like Majorgeeks, Download.cnet, etc. Always reliable, but if the software manufacturer/distributor has their own website, preference to use that for the latest)

Wise Disk Cleaner - Free Disk Cleanup and Defrag Tool

I'd guess this is the installable version rather than the portable---I didn't fish around.

I prefer to use the installable version, it's free and there's no limit on how many times it can be downloaded and/or installed.

The portable version is handy ... sort of ... but I've found where it has to be needed (i.e. installation of software is blocked by admin control) then some of the files it finds to delete can't be removed because of those admin control limitations.
