    Programme closing itself

I recently reinstalled Panorama Maker4 on my PC, which I used to use before updating to Windows10.

I have a disc to load the software from, that came with a camera.

Once installed on the PC, when I click on the shortcut the programme opens up, and I breifly see the normal screen, but it then closed out completely. I have tried compatability setting adjustments, but can't get this to work. Any ideas?

I am using Version 1909 (os Build 18363.836) WIndows 10 Home.

    Thanks,
    David

It seems to be a free download:
ArcSoft Panorama Maker Pro 4 - free download for Windows

It was released in 2008. It opens and then closes on mine.

Reliability History shows a BEX error:
    Description
Faulting Application Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcSoft\Panorama Maker 4\PMK.exe

    Problem signature
    Problem Event Name: BEX
    Application Name: PMK.exe
    Application Version: 4.5.0.107
    Application Timestamp: 493e6cf3
    Fault Module Name: mshtml.dll
    Fault Module Version: 11.0.18362.719
    Fault Module Timestamp: 4daa3d75
    Exception Offset: 007ec463
    Exception Code: c0000409
    Exception Data: 00000004

Suggests needing to add this to DEP exceptions (control panel, system...) - still fails, and when run in compatibility mode.

I suggest you need to find something more recent... e.g.

    Arcsoft panorama maker crashes

I found a method that works for Arcsoft Panorama maker 6 lite. Sometimes when you launch the program a dialogue box opens with an option to untick the x in the bottom left corner labelled "show this dialogue at startup" or similar. If you can untick that box and click OK (at the opposite corner of the dialogue) in the one or two seconds before the program crashes, it stays open and works thereafter.
