    Cannot uninstall CuteFtp

OS is Windows 10 ver 1909
I tried to uninstall Cuteftp pro via Windows and also with Geek.exe. In both cases I get an error note:
"Problem starting c:\program . Specified module cannot be found"

Next I tried to find the uninstall program in the Installation Folder but its not there

Can I uninstall via the registry ? How?

    Tks

BCUninstaller should give you the command line for the uninstaller.

    Cannot uninstall CuteFtp-bulk-crap-uninstaller-v4.16-portable-x64.jpg

If missing try forced uninstall in Geek.

    Cannot uninstall CuteFtp-geek-uninstaller-1.4.7.142.jpg

But shut down any of the program's running processes or services first.

How to locate/find which processes /services of cuteftp are running?

BTW by Using geek.exe , I can locate the uninstall string in the registry . Can I copy the data string and run it ?

You can copy it and run from elevated command prompt but it will only run the program's uninstaller.

If it works you'll have to check for leftovers.

If you enable command line in task manager you should be able to work out processes and services.

After I disabled Chrome from startup, it starts up with 8 processes

    Otherwise try forced uninstall.

OK. I think I would just use forced uninstall . Seems much easier. Thanks

    Other option to try:

Reinstall the program then try uninstalling.

I haven't heard of CuteFTP since the late 90s. WSFTP....that's what I had to play with. What a horror.
