Note that the add, remove and properties buttons are grayed out. I think the system wont' let me remove the unwanted account - at least from this screen.
You need to click in the checkbox to make those buttons operate normally.

the Edit Post button does not appear on any of my posts
It should be under the posts not in them.

    Mike,

Q3: I did not understand this question. There is no unknown name.
You are quite right. I meant to write
Q3 Is the unwanted name [i.e. the duplication] at all similar to any names you have used or the passwords for them?
but it was a stupid question anyway because you had already told me it was a repetiiton of your username.

P.S. When I uploaded the screenshot, the picture did not show, rather an "ATTACH" statement appears. That did not happen the last time I uploaded a screenshot. Do you know why?
No. But the picture appears correctly in your last post.
I've seen a few odd-looking pictures lately - they appear but are within a box headed Attach. Perhaps the forum server is sulking.

I think you might solve the problem when you set that checkbox in netplwiz.
    - Hopefully the properties will tell you enough to decide which account entry to remove.
    - Is the current attempt at automatic login trying with the one that works or the one that does not?
    - - If it is trying to use the one that works then the one selected in your diagram is the one to remove.
    - - If it is trying to use the one that does not work then the one not selected in your diagram is the one to remove.
    - Otherwise just keep that checkbox set and leave it at that for now - that will stop anything being logged in automatically for the time being.
