    File Manager for Windows

    HI all,
I have a general question. I use the default File Explorer for Windows. I find it lacking. I used to used OPUS file manager YEARS ago, but it's a little pricey.

Anybody got a (relatively) cheap file manager that they could recommend? I have googled but it seems like every page is "top 9 file managers" and I'm always suspicious if they are promoting a product.

    Thanks all,

I use XYplorer and love it.
You might find it a bit pricey but considering I have lifetime licenses on 6 computers and there is no limit, it is a bargain.
    Also updates occur quite often.

    XYplorer - Download

Yes, there is a FREE version.

MultiCommander, FreeCommander, Total Commander or the old Windows 3.1 File Manager.

I tried that and it was good until I tried to view my tags and ratings and they were nowhere to be found

I got it as freeware but the Premium version is a choice of paid-for.

Thanks for the input all. I (unfortunately) downloaded Frigate3 and it's ok, but it hasn't been updated in a while. I'm trying to get a refund, but it looks like payproglobal owns them and isn't responding. oy vey.
