No, this is a volunteer program for Intel to gather information about your computer and how you use it, to "Improve their product and service " Intel(R) Computing Improvement Program

"No, it's not needed," or "No, don't uninstall it"?

Intel Computing Improvement Program keeps installing with Intel Driver & Support Assistant updates.

I find Intel Driver & Support Assistant to be a very handy tool, but I wish the installer would give you the option to not install Intel Computing Improvement Program.

Just had a situation where an update was carried out to this software that initiated an immediate restart without consent, and caused me considerable disruption.

The incident has been reported Intel(R) SUR QC Software Asset Manager restarted my PC instantly with no notice, consent, or choices - Intel Community
