    Hi there
    Handbrake is probably the best option -- complicated to learn to use it but saves all the aggro with a lot of "adware" in the other free stuff.

    Another reason I prefer a Portable Apps version when available.

    As far as I could find out on Handbrake, it will only convert 1/3 of the video and I can't find out how to convert it to a .ts-file... Sorry if I am being a nuesance... (however I write that...)

    So back to another question that arose, if I am allowed to:
    DVD Flick is a good programm and I used it before, but since the destination map is "Daniël", it won't write, because it can't cope with the "ë". How can I change that? Anyone?

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone, sorry that some didn't really work on my computer - probably because it's old. Thanks anyway.

    Hi there

    @Daniel1973

    This one works -- tovid -- 100% free

    BUT you'll need Linux -- I use Arch Linux --simply as normal user type : yay tovid
    package manager will retrieve source from the AUR (arch Linux's auxiliary repository), unzip it, compile, add any other necessary packages and then it's available for use === "Seemples ,,,,"

    Use Linux in a Virtual machine if you mainly run Windows -- create your DVD in the Linux VM as an iso and then if you need a physical DVD just burmn it in Windows or whatever dvd burning application you use -- I wouldn't bother with physical DVD's --things like VLC and KODI are quite capable of playing DVD iso's stored on HDD's these days (including menus etc).
