you don't need any reg things or whatever if you have the CUE file with the image file.
With CUE TOOLS you can run the program to convert the audio back into tracks in flac or what format you need -- then use any piece of software you like to convert these tracks into an audio iso. Then W10 mounts iso's natively -- just play the CD as an audio cd or even write to a CD if you want to.
CUE TOOLS is a brilliant piece of software -works great on W10 too.

not sure what you mean here.
the diagram and explanation seemed easy enough -- in any case aren't we all here also to learn things as well or try out possibly easier solutions not requiring obsolete software (e,g Daemon tools)
In any case format of an audio cd (iso) is quite well known --the tracks appear on it when browsed by file explorer etc as xxxx.cda, xxxx.cda etc with a unique identifier which is used by ripping programs to get track info from various databases e.g gracenote, freedb etc.

We are talking about just playing CD-DA images, not converting to other formats.
No reason to make flac mp3 etc files if CD-DA image can be played directly.
CD-DA (Compact Disc Digital Audio) IS NOT ISO9660 CD-ROM disc.
Their images have different formats, only the second is ISO file.
Consequently, "Audio ISO" is nonsense.
Your opinion on "obsolete software" is irrelevant and wrong; people just want to use it.

Daemon tools has lost it's simple elegance, and the new Lite version wants to download files for over 24 hours (I am not making that up). It's not that expensive but I want to know it works before spending money, and I want an offline installer anyway. I also don't want to rely on an internet connection just to make a program work - my connection isn't good enough for crap like that, not to mention adware sucks, which, I suppose, means daemon tools sucks now too. WinCDEmu does not handle bin/cue files. I've looked at a few others but Win10 doesn't want to allow any of them.
This workaround did not work for me. ulozto.net wants me to register just to get a little file so I tried using daemon347. Apologies but I won't run a binary reg file where I cannot see the content.
Does anybody have any other suggestions?

Still confused as to what you want to do
If you just want to copy the original Disc to an iso file then in Linux it's really simple
sudo dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/home/username/image.iso where the iso file is an audio iso file which can be copied to windows 10 and also mounted without any problems.
If just to play these things surely VLC does it.
If you want to mount and convert to discrete tracks did you try cue tools -- I sent a link a few posts back in this thread.
Cue tools will get the tracks back and you can then save as flac/mp3 or whatever and use any standard software to play including VLC -- VLC might play the cue/bin combo directly.
Personally I'd just mount a Live Linux Distro (or a VM) - copy the original CD to an iso using the command I gave above and then that iso will mount on W10 as an audio CD and can be played normally with your preferred software.
I'm not exactly sure of what you are trying to achieve though.
If you don't want to try the Linux method have a go with CUE TOOLS (free of course)

There is nothing to be confused about. The original question, which has not been answered satisfactorily, still stands. Daemon tools was the go-to program for mounting virtual drives. In this case there has been particular focus and emphasis on cue/bin pairing. But Windows 10 won't run it. Nothing else handles the job, and the updated Daemon tools is rubbish. Hence the problem. What program will function, will mount virtual drives, with the ease and stability previously delivered by Daemon tools? It's that easy. That is the question that has not been answered.
Nobody is inquiring about copying or converting files. We're talking Windows 10, not Linux. This is, after all, tenforums.com. We are not talking about what is done with the file(s) once they're/it's mounted. The player is beside the point. If it won't mount, it won't play. Cue tools may very well be a wonderful tool but your mention of it is irrelevant because there is no file corruption or problem. There is no repair to be made. There is nothing to "get back". We are NOT talking about iso files. And while your suggestion of using a linux live cd has merit in some scenarios, it doesn't in the present case (1) because we're talking windows 10, and (2) because we're talking about cue/bin pairing.

I don't mean to be rude but if you bother to read anything above, you'll see we are talking, and have been from the very beginning, about methods of mounting CUE/BIN file pairs under Windows 10. If you don't know what that is or why somebody would want to use them, that's not a problem. Just start a topic of your own and inquire. This isn't the place for it. Suffice for the moment, however, that an ISO file is NOT a substitute for a CUE/BIN configuration - and it never will be.
Now. With that said and out of the way...
I did a web search for "MagicDisc + Windows 10" which lead to a post on microsoft which suggested, similar to above, that a process telling "How to Disable Driver Signature Verification on 64-Bit Windows 8 or 10 (So That You Can Install Unsigned Drivers)" on howtogeek.com might solve the problem. Interesting theory and process that did not work for me. However...
Alcohol 52% has a free version. I don't know for sure but I 'think' it doesn't expire. Instead of expiring, it limits the user to one virtual drive at a time. I just installed it, and it worked on the first cue/bin pair I tried. However, there is a caveat I should mention. The 'trial' version expires in two weeks, and versions delivered from software vending sites are vague about time limits and they bundle other unwanted stuff with it, so by all means be careful. If you opt to go this route, use the custom install option and disable as much as you can. Mean-time, I'll assume the free version does not expire but will return and report if I hit any brick walls. I don't know if I require 31 drives and I think the $27 price tag is steep for what it is. I'll probably content myself with one drive at a time. This is by no means ideal, but it's the best I've found so far.

I ran into the OP's problem myself while trying to get an old game (Magic & Mayhem) to play its CD music from a virtual CD. I tried ImDisk and WinCDEMU, but they could only mount the data side of the CD, leaving the audio tracks inaccessible.
So I kept searching around and found ImgDrive which was advertising itself specifically as capable of mounting cue audio CDs (though it also handles a lot of other formats). Installed it, mounted the previously problematic CD and boom, the game now plays its CD music perfectly and I could even play back the tracks in Winamp as an audio CD.
Make sure you use the installer version, because I tried the portable one too but that didn't work.
And sorry for the necro, but this thread still comes up as first or second hit when googling for "mount virtual audio CD" and it was largely unresolved (Alcohol 52's installation gave me a ton of issues back when I tried it a few years ago, so I don't recommend that), so I thought it might still help someone to post a clean and easy solution that worked for me.

Hello, I had the same problem of not being able to mount cue + bin on Windows 10, I've been using Daemon Tools since the Win98 days, 3.47 on some PCs and 4 in others, never had problems, but 4 refuses to install on Windows 10 after build 1607, that's the last build that supports it. I tried 5 and some more recent versions but they install malware (I had to format and reinstall fresh!).I have Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, upgraded from 8.1.
I always back up (legally purchased) audio CDs using ImgBurn which creates a .cue and .bin for each CD. If I need to access a CD, I used to use Daemon Tools lite to mount the .cue image, which worked fine. But daemon tools was found bundling aggressive adware that would install even if you were careful about unchecking the usual options not to install extra software, so I unistalled it. Now I can't find a good program to mount cue files
I tried WinCDemu, which is open source, but it did not work for cue files.
Imgdisk didn't seem to be able to mount anything on Win10.
I was about to try Slysoft Virtual CloneDrive, but apparently it has trouble mounting audio CDs as well
I did not actually try it though, so if someone has Virtual CloneDrive and an image of an audio CD, and wants to test out mounting it, that would be pretty cool.
Does anyone know of a good virtual drive program that works on Win 10 and does not come bundled with malware? Open source would be preferable, but not required.
Also, does anyone know if Daemon tools cleaned up their act? I can't seem to find a reliable source online saying they are clean now. I'm not opposed to trying them again.
I've been searching all over the internet for alternatives, WinCDEMU didn't work, "just use windows built in tool" works for ISO but not cue + bin. Being able to mount cue + bin is such an useful feature I can't believe nobody made a replacement for Daemon Tools or nobody mounts things anymore.
So... I considered sticking to build 1607 and never update but I needed 21H1 minimum for some drivers that refused to install on 1607, I thought "that's it, I'm stuck with being able to mount only in my Win98 or Win7 PCs??", until I found this thread.
(sorry for the long intro, it's just some background information and I find this problem very annoying haha).

By the way, you might want to install SPTD first. 2.13 works fine on Windows 10. (file name is SPTD2inst-v213-x64).
TL;DR
1)save that code to whatever.reg, run it and it adds the code to the registry.
2)install SPTD 2.13 (SPTD2inst-v213-x64.exe, just google for it)
3)install Daemon Tools 4.48 (daemon-tools-4-48-1-lite.exe) (be careful of oldversion.com, at least other versions downloaded from there have malware, I don't remember where I got a good copy of 4.48 but it shouldn't be hard to find. maybe it's on majorgeeks or internet archive?).
