Deleted Items Remaining in Start Menu

I have noticed some folders in Start Menu of programmes long deleted, but cannot remove them. Any ideas of how to clean up Start Menu? I found one particular folder of a programme I deleted maybe 5-8 years ago??

    Hi, go to
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
    and
    C:\Users\-----\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

    and remove them from there.

Or you could use Open Shell (free) as an editor... even if you don't want to use it as a start menu.
Hint- Open Shell makes accessing those folders easy.

Then there are programs like Glary Utilities (see option bottom right)

    - and Ccleaner has a Start menu shortcuts option.

    Hello elbmek,

In addition, the tutorial below can help walk you through deleting those items from the Start menu > All Apps list.

strangely enough Dalchina, Glary is one of the extinct folders

In Brinks post suggestion, the Glary folder does not appear on the list. Still working ............

this image shows the Glary empty folder still in situ after using CCleaner
