    Start Menu MS Store Apps ONLY, not showing icons? Help Please

    I have tried.

    sfc /scannow
    chkdsk /f
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
    DISM.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    re-installing apps in powershell
    re-registering apps in powershell

    and a few other things...

    1 thing i did notice is that when ms photos app was my default picture viewer, the in show *icon* not preview in the start menu there was a padlock on the icon in the start menu?

    please help thx

    Hi,

    thx for fast response.

    i have just looked there is no.. TileDataLayer in (hidden files is enabled)

    C:\Users\my_user_name\AppData\Local\

    only thing with tile* in local is..

    Hi, before trying that, please do this check to see if it will help:

    Create a new user for test purposes. Log in as that user. If you don't see the same problem, then the problem lies with your user profile, rather than Windows generally, in which case an in-place upgrade repair install is unlikely to help.

    (If you followed post #2, you may already have created a new user).

    Also note that in this similar? case the range of tutorials which did not help:
    Corrupt tile database
