There is no information showing yet. In the mean time, could you fill in your laptop model/specs, and perhaps if @fireberd has time, he can also have look as to why you might not be getting sound with your recordings.
Anyone can look at this part of the information.

I was going to suggest trying VB-Audio Virtual Cable, just in case sound through Stereo Mix is somehow not being made available on your System, but I see that you already have that installed. Is it not available as the input option in hypercam (as shown in this article- How to Record Your PC’s Audio With Virtual Audio Cable )?
Although I have no experience of the Virtual Cable, I would have thought according to its general instructions that if you set that Virtual Cable as your default playback device , then it should appear as an option in hypercam under "Record Sound from:". Or am I mistaken ?
Well, when I first used VB-Audio Virtual Cable (both input and output), I do not hear the audio. I did not record anything, while I was using VB-Audio Virtual Cable. Maybe, I should read the deeper instructions.

I contacted the author of VB-Audio Virtual Cable, and the author spoke to me that it is difficult to help with VB-Audio Virtual Cable.
Just to try out the VB CABLE driver, first I disabled the fully working Default "Stereo Mixer" on my PC. Upon disabling it, no sounds could be recorded. Then, no sounds could be recorded straight after installing the VB driver. I had to change some Windows Sound Settings to be able to record sounds.
I have attached the permutation of sound settings which finally worked for me, in the attached images (the images may do more justice than any descriptions I could use). Remember there are both "CABLE Input" and "CABLE Output" settings involved, as well as the output settings in the programs you use such as Balabolka (this would enable listening in to the app). Also, I don't know if the settings I have used are the only ones that work, or even if they are the most suitable ones. Maybe they might help you, maybe not (and I can understand the comments made to you by the Author of VB CABLE, seeing the range of possibilities covered by his driver).
Finally, note that this only covers the use of VB Audio CABLE on my system, so doesn't really answer why the normal Stereo Mixer doesn't work for you.

Good luck.
Well, it works now.

I used Stereo Mix and Speakers as my default devices, and I kept VB-Cable Input and VB-Cable Output enabled.

Note that when I had disabled the Stereo Mixer on my system, the idea was that I only wanted to cover any probability where either it may not be working as intended or not be available, and then try the functions provided by VB CABLE instead.
But, if using Stereo Mixer with VB-CABLE works in your particular situation, then that's good and what matters.
