    CPU/RAM usage gadget/app??

Circumstances are forcing me to switch my gaming PC (there's just one 'game' (?!) on it - X-Plane 11) to Windows 10, as the latest Vulkan XP update will not now support the sim running on Windows 7.

Well, so be it, if I really must move on (still love Win7 best of all); one small but major niggle however is that in Win7 I have been used to referring to the desktop gadget called Intel All CPU Monitor - I am sure many know which I mean: it shows CPU core usage, RAM usage and core temperatures. In Windows 10 (on the same, dual-booting PC in fact), into which I cannot install gadgets per se of course, I am really missing it.

Searching has not revealed a suitable alternative. Can anyone kindly suggest a desktop app that will display those three parameters on Win 10 (Pro x64)? Or how to get this same app for Win10 (pic of app in the link given further down this thread).

    Many thanks!

    Martin

Is this what you're looking for? It was updated May 2019 Intel(R) Power Gadget | Intel(R) Software

I have downloaded it and will try it on the Win10 PC tomorrow. Depends on how the GUI looks.. The one I use now is this one (screenshots in Posts #3 & 4):

    Cpu Temerature Monitor

but I can't see how to get it for Windows 10. The readouts are, well, what I am used to!

    Many thanks.

The 8Gadget pack seems to include what I want, but sadly when you run the msi there is no option to select which gadgets you want: there are dozens and dozens of them, and they all install together. I really don't need or want the vast majority of them on my (gaming) PC. (Seems too that on Windows 10 updates, the whole lot will be removed as incompatible and you have to reinstate them).

If anyone can see a way to get that one CPU/RAM monitor (as above) into Win10, I'd be really happy!

    Thanks again.

This is so frustrating now and I am wasting so much time searching online...

This looks good, for instance, but when you extract the file it is another with .gadget as an extension. AFAIK, it's not possible to install this in Windows 10, even though it says on the webpage the app is for Win10.. I am just going round and round in circles..

System Monitor II is Windows 10 Sidebar Gadget To Display System Health In Real Time.

Finally came across a programme called 'Gadgets Revived', which after installing has allowed me to load the CPU usage monitor (.gadget extension) into Windows 10..
