    Programs not starting at startup

I have Win 10 latest version.
    No viruses or spyware.
    Check regularly with good programs.

I have notice over the last few weeks 2-3 of my programs were not starting with Windows like have been for the past few years. I go into the program itself and the box that says start with Windows in unchecked now for some reason on all of the programs. There is nobody else that uses my computer.

    Any thoughts?

Hi, not something I've heard of happening. Is there anything in common about these programs? For example, the location or means by which the programs are launched?

    - there are various locations in the registry
    - there's the Startup folder
    - some programs may be launched using a schedued task

If you note the programs you are concerned about, and run Autoruns (free from MS) you may be able to identify where the startup trigger is held (disabled or enabled).

Are these older programs or ones which are current and compatible with Win 10?

You could try performing a clean boot, then configure one of these problem programs to start up, then see if its startup configuration changes. If no effect is observed, then it might be some effect of a 3rd party program.

Similarly, you could create a new user, log in as that user, and see if the same thing happens.

They are newer programs and updated. They are a calendar and a reminder programs. I need them to startup with Windows, but every week or the box in the setting becomes unchecked to start with Windows. I have no idea why it is happened. I have to manually check the box again and save the setting. It is then good for a few weeks then goes back to not starting with Windows.

Hi, thank you for your reply.

You will need to explore what's going on- I've made some elementary suggestions above.

Beyond that, there are utilities you can use to monitor your registry for changes, for example, and alert you. Thus you would know when the change occurs. E.g.
