Is it possible to copy a Windows store app from another computer?

I recently performed a fresh installation of Windows 10 build 1909 on my Acer Sw1-011 tablet/laptop (necessitated because there wasn't enough drive space to upgrade from 1809). After the installation I was able to re-install all of the apps except for The Weather Network's app, which they are no longer providing for Windows computers.

I have the same app on all of my other Win10 computers and it works just fine on them. Is there any way I could copy the app from one of the other computers for use on the SW1?

You can't find it on your app list in the store? click on the dots on the right side choose downloads and updates

    Attachment 270335

    choose All Owned
    Attachment 270336
scroll through the list / find program and choose install

Oh, I can find it in my list at the store and it tries to download it endlessly if I let it keep trying. But when I look at the page for the app it says that it is not currently available and when I contacted the provider they said they don't intend to make it available again.

Sorry to hear that and I know it's not the same but in windows 10 there is the default weather app on the start menu and I can suggest a very nice one for firefox (not for chromium edge or chrome sorry) that is called weather extension by Tim. And trust me I am picky and have tried alot of them! He uses Dark Sky.net and it is excellent! Here is the link and the screenshots are exactly the real program. I don't like the Windows weather app. Among other things it's forecasts for where I live aren't very good.

I found information on how to copy MS Store apps and copied what I think are the appropriate files but then it was time to start working on outdoor projects (veg garden &c) and it got put aside for later. In the meantime, I installed the Weather 14 Days app, which I found barely acceptable but less accurate.

I was recently setting up a "new" computer for my basement workshop and while I was in the MS Store getting my apps I noticed that the Weather Network app was back so I have installed on that computer and the one I started this thread about.

I won't mark this Solved because the thread didn't have anything to do with getting the app back.
