Mine doesn't have those 2 subFolders [roamedthemefiles/desktopbackground], only Cachedfiles.

A point of differential: the file path to files and folders on the computer use the backslash \ while URLs/Addresses in the internet browser use the forward slash /.
You will have that folder if you have a synced theme, maybe I did a typo but that’s really off topic, in the photos app, folders or settings I click on add a folder and add the folder desktop background located in app data - local - Microsoft - windows - themes - roamed theme files - desktop background and the photos app does not read the pictures in this folder and I also put pictures in app data in a random folder, added this random folder to the photos app and it did not read the photos, I’m thinking theirs a limitation.... I can easily open the pictures but adding them in my sources does not work

The problem is not the folder itself, the pictures open properly, the problem is when I add this folder in the photos app to make it apart of my collection in the photos app.

"Synced" does change the landscape, I don't do that and have no intention of doing so, would disrupt what I am doing.

I don’t think you understand what I’m trying to do here. Has nothing to do with opening pictures because it all works. It’s adding the folder to the photos app to make apart of the photos collection.

Just tested on my pc and I can open photos from that folder with the app
I can open the pictures as well, what I want to do is add that folder in the photos app in the folders section to make it apart of the collection

Hey Edwin ! Ok so my photos app, I add the following folder to sources and it doesn’t show the pictures

    Appdata - local - Microsoft - windows - themes - roamedthemefiles - desktopbackground

If I add anything from my pictures folder it works but when adding anything from add data it does not add to the collection.

Opening them works, I have no issue going to appdata... desktopbackground and opening the pics inside it, just when I add the folder in the photos app I do not see them and in the folders section it says no Readable photos...

Yes, but this is on 18653 and, I don't have the Roamthemes/desktop background sub-folders; my hierarchy ends at Themes

In general, I’m gonna narrow it down, does your photos app see the photos in any folder in app data, yes I’ll see the folder apart of folders list but the pictures inside will not show In the collection. And again I say opening them will work it’s with it he app adding them to the collection. Check my previous post with attachments.

Check App folder access, probably has something to do with MS's paranoid overly stringent security measures!
