    msMoney Sunset install on Win10 error 0xc1500002

    Can't get msMoney to Open (0xc1500002): upgraded from W8 to W10 a year ago on this PC; W10 seems to be fine. Now trying to move msMoney from a W7 PC to this PC. Downloaded msMoney from MS-site, to this PC and had AUTORUN error. Found a work-around but now get error 0xc1500002.

    This W10 PC software is up-to-date Win10 1903. I've run MSERT, ‘sfc /scannow’, etc and found NO problems.

    To be clear, to avoid AUTORUN.inf error, Ran from Administrator: Command Prompt:
    =====
    cd %USERPROFILE%\*documents
    USMoneyDlxSunset.exe /C /T:%TEMP%\Sunset
    cd %TEMP%\Sunset
    mnyinst
    =====
    Money install replied: Setup was unable to install some components needed to run Money. Try installing Money again … but
    I clicked FINISH.

    When I DIR the newly created "Microsoft Money Plus", it shows only 2 files (readme.htm and sample.mny) and 2 Dir(s).
    DIR MNYCoreFiles shows 123 Files 55,975,921 Bytes with 6 Dir(s)

    Is that reasonable?

    When I run msmoney.exe: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc1500002). Click OK ...

    Ideas?

    THX

    What's your reply to the same post you made here? Microsoft Money Sunset and Windows 10

    Ensure IE11 is installed and enabled in Windows 10.

    Thx all. MS Money Forum recommends a Clean Win10 Install ... just wanted to make sure there wasn't a quicker alternative.

    Thx again

    I am running MS Money Sunset on Windows 10 Pro for the past two years. Through all of the Windows 10 Pro upgrades, currently running on Insiders Fast. As I remember when installing MSMS and towards the end of the install it states it needs a couple of other files and then proceeds to go onto the Internet, find and install them, then proceed to finish install MSMS. BTW isn't the current, non insider version of Windows 10, 1909? Clean install of Windows 10 then installing MSMS may be overkill but I don't see where it will hurt and probably will help. Good Luck.

    Just took a look at my system and I DO NOT have IE 11 checked in Other Features but as I mentioned in the preceding reply about MS Office Sunset it does not appear to be necessary. I only use MS Edge NOT IE. FWIW.

    Don't remember which one but when I had trouble with Microsoft Money not working, there was a version of Net Framework missing. After reinstalling it all worked fine.

    I have Net Framework 4.8/WCF Services/TCP Port Sharing enabled on my system.

    I believe it was Net Framework 3.5 that I needed. That includes 2.0 and 3.0.
