Since XYplorer includes duplicate file and duplicate image finders and the license is per user lifetime the $40 is a bargain. Good for me with 128GB SSDs and smaller, saves room.

Seems that some of the features of that app have been implemented in the last 19xx version of Windows, like floating pic blow-ups and audio previews with mouse-over.

You know..., I remain astounded by the fact that practically every day, I'm introduced to a new 3rd party app, (added to my mental collection of 100's if not 1000's of 3rd party apps), that users need to make Windows 10 usable in their capacity, if not bearable in some cases!

And I thought Windows 10 was supposed to be the latest and greatest thing since sliced bread!!!

    MS ought to be listening!!!

    Video in preview pane:

    Or a pop up window:

Windows is operating system, everything that comes with it is coincidental, I wish they didn't come with any programs just clean OS.

They are.... just not to those opining they should go back to the good-ole "Windows 7" days

I don't miss Windows 7 one bit and run Windows 10 straight out the box with no GUI mods or reg tweaks. Works just fine for me. No seven cravings here

I mostly do the same but mainly because my needs are met but also because of my clients, sometimes need to see or try to replicate their problem, can't do that with a lot of customizations. I do have a usable Vista Notebook, WinXP Desktop and Win7 Desktop on hand 'just in case'.

As shell extension my favorite one is qttabbar , IMo underated because most of people think of a tab addon but it has a ton of features when you go deeper.

As explorer replacement ( though I'm daily use w10 file explorer too with qttabbar and some other shell enhancements ) my favorite one is as some other members XYplorer

It has one of the fastest search in built engine I've ever seen for such app and is also able to manage tags whatever file extension you work with , and it's for my use invaluable ( I've tried a lot of tag managers but xyplorer is the best for me )

I stayed with mine because I wanted to learn the OS. It isn't so foreign once you get use to it.

I'm thinking about adding a Win 7 (or 8) drive to my backup system. Years back when I was beta testing Windows, I'd setup two drives with different OS's. I'd boot from the BIOS. Might do that again.

BTW all my PC's are Windows 10
