All of mine are excellent programs but XYplorer has been my favorite for years.
XYplorer - File Manager for Windows
Hi,
Asrock memory configurator
Don't tune ram without it on Intel systems
With that AIDA64 cheap 2-3.us keys on ebay for full version
Good cache and memory testing.
Since XYplorer includes duplicate file and duplicate image finders and the license is per user lifetime the $40 is a bargain. Good for me with 128GB SSDs and smaller, saves room.
XYplorer - Product
- Still Photoshop and Lightroom CC - allows my creativity to flow.
- Still Microsoft Office - Outlook (desktop), Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Can't function without them.
- Still Windows - cause that's what I know - for good or bad
AutoHotkey... get installed on every Windows device I use and I have a script running from startup to take care of automated actions in multiple other apps..
Who would have thought that my original post would gain so much attention!
Someone has posted as follows - Define best, To many of us "best" means better than any alternative.
This is a fair point, however, it would seem that many others have expressed themselves in the way that they choose.
In my case, (as a novice) I do tinker, and occasionally make a complete horlicks of things, and render the PC as inoperable!
In this case good old Macrium has come to my rescue on many occasions. So in my case if you wish me to categorise - macrium is a get out of jail free helpful/convenience program. Yes I have tried alternatives - so this does embrace your opening comment.
Thanks to all for your thoughts - I am sure we all have learnt many things from the interesting posts made so far.
