Programs opening randomly.

Hey! I'm new here and tried to research this before coming here. My Windows 10 Home laptop has been randomly opening apps , oddly enough. It isn't really any of the pre-installed apps. Its mostly Discord or Skype (which I use often and randomly closes for unknown reasons.) Its opened other apps like gaming apps or my web browser and can't tell why. Currently my windows version is 1909. Even after restarting the laptop it'll still happen , not often but enough to make me concerned.

It could be because whatever is left open during a shutdown will be included when booting back up.
--- I don't use Skype but friends tell me their Skype always is included when their PC is booted back up.
I've had times in which I forgot to close out a Word document when shutting down.
--- When starting back up, that Word document is loaded in once the boot-up is completed.

Hey thanks for the reply. I do close down Discord and everything else when I am doing a restart , everything was closed before doing the restart earlier today. Although nothing has opened yet thankfully. But it has had times where it opens randomly when I am playing a game or busy reading , doing research.

Do you use Discord on an Android or iOS device also?

I do yes but they are two different versions , on mobile its beta and Windows its alpha.

I was wondering if you were syncing what you do with other devices which might be part of the issue.

I have the same issue. Apps are open in their own
What could be the issue here? Is this a virus?
