    Cannot install known safe programme...

I'm trying to install onenote-duplicates-remover downloaded from the owner's spot on Github. However the install fails due to the following error:
    Cannot install known safe programme...-screenshot-286-.jpg
Is there a way to override this block?

    Win 10 1909 build 18363.592

If you are sure (as in SURE), right click the installer file, go to it's properties, and Unblock it (lower right corner). That still may not work if you are part of a domain and you are not the Admin, and a policy has been set to prohibit.

That is not the normal Defender Smartscreen warning.

    Additional note:

Make sure you got the right file. I just downloaded it from

GitHub - relue2718/onenote-duplicates-remover: Remove OneNote page duplicates

all the way at the bottom:

ran 3 different scans on it and it was clean. I did not try to install it.

I tried to Install it. I get a similar message, but I have choices, whereas you have none.

Is this a Work PC? Are you the IT Administrator? Someone has set a blocking policy on unsigned apps. It can't be verified so you're being stopped.

Thanks for doing that. It's my home PC. Where would I look to find any limitations that might be set?

    OK.
Incidentally I did check the unblock box. I also tried in safe mode, disabled Bitdefender and downloaded earlier versions all to no avail.

Go to Update and Security>Windows Security>App and browser control. Post a pic of what you have set there. Mine looks like this:
