Option to re-add/re-install math input panel?

So i removed this via the optional features section under settings > apps & features > optional features.

I was under the assumption it could be added back the same way.

Alas, its simply not there in the list to re-add.

Since its not a widely used/popular feature, google has been zero help.

Hope someone here has the answer :P

See if this still works: In the Windows 10 search bar, search for "Windows Features," select the option to Turn Windows Features On or Off.

Check off "Tablet PC Components." Once that feature is installed, restart the computer and then search for Math Input Panel.

heres a shot of my add/remove features. Not seeing anything tablet related ><

Open a command prompt as administrator, and enter:
Dism /online /add-capability /capabilityname:MathRecognizer~~~~0.0.1.0

Make sure you run cmd as administrator, or it won’t work.

As a pretest, you can run this command first, and it will confirm that Math Input Panel is part of the installation:
Dism /online /get-capabilityinfo /capabilityname:MathRecognizer~~~~0.0.1.0

that did the trick. thank you very very much. While i still dont have tablet pc as an entry in my add/remove programs menu, it did re-add the mip.exe to my common files\ink folder and gave me the option under optional features.

I ran the Dsim fix as described above:

And then I confirmed the presence of Math Recognizer using the recommended command

And then I rebooted. But I **still** do not see Tablet PC Components in the Windows Features dialog. Mine looks exactly like the one posted above.

What do I do to disable this Math Input Panel that keeps stealing my Ctrl-Shift-M keyboard shortcut in Word 365??????????
