Is there a way to add non-animated text to image in Photos app?

    Hi,

Is there a way to add non-animated text to an image in the Photos app in Win 10? I see where animated text can be created, but not plain static text. I don't want to create a .gif or video, I just want to add text to an image. (and I don't want to "draw" the text -- I want to add text from a selection of fonts.)

    Thanks.

Hi, you might find Paint more usable:

    See:

    - no way to do it.

You're welcome- sometimes the trusted and tried tools still work better.. and there are others of course.

A note: here's an example of adding a text box to the bottom of an image done in Paint/MSPaint:

Yes (Windows 10 Pro build 1909)! When you have the image opened in the Photo's app... right click the image, choose Edit & create. Choose Edit with Paint 3D,

When you open paint, chose text, and choose your settings - font, size, color, format from the right pane....

So, yeah, even in Paint 3D you can use 2D text. Hope this helps
