Finding out what was removed by windows update

    So, here's the story:

The recent Major update apparently uninstalled a program that I had installed, and now I have a hole in my start menu.

Furthermore, it appears that this program was one that I paid for, and that other parts of my rig relied on components of this program.

    Busted, Microsoft!

Now, I am having a brain fart in that I don't remember the program or where I have the installer, so where is the log file of the update so I can figure out what Microsoft removed?

Perhaps one of the logs under the heading Online configuration phase in Windows 7 setup log file locations - Panther - MSSupport will help you.

The update to v.1903 removed one of the older TurboTax programs stating that the particular program was not supported by Windows now. The update put up a screen showing what was being removed. Odd that it wasn’t the oldest, nor the newest version. I went back after the update was done and re-installed the program successfully. Don’t know why Windows Update didn’t like the one version of TurboTax.
