    Two Icons For Credge?

I am still trying out the new Chromium Edge and have a question. I like the icon to stay in the taskbar. When I start the new Edge it makes a second icon which is the active window. When I close the internet it goes away. All other browsers that I have used only have one icon even when opened. Is this behavior normal for the new edge? Thanks in advance.

That is not how mine works so I won't say it is normal.

If you go to Settings, Personalization, Taskbar, please check this setting

If it is set the way mine is then I would unpin the existing Edge icon and then re-pin.

To re-pin, click Start, type edge, right click icon and pin to Taskbar.

Did both those items that you said and still have the two icons.

Close Edge, remove the pinned icon, then when you open Edge, you can pin it again.
