How to open an app upon sign in?

I'm brand new to Windows. I just purchased a Mini PC off of Amazon with Windows 10.

1. How do I have an application automatically launch when I log in or turn on the computer? I tried dragging this
Select the Start button and scroll to find the app you want to run at startup.
Right-click the app, select More, and then select Open file location. This opens the location where the shortcut to the app is saved. If there isn’t an option for Open file location, it means the app can’t run at startup.
With the file location open, press the Windows logo key + R, type shell:startup, then select OK. This opens the Startup folder.
Copy and paste the shortcut to the app from the file location to the Startup folder.
but since there was no option to OPEN FILE LOCATION, I couldn't add it to startup.

I also tried dragging an alias into the WINDOWS > STARTUP folder.

2. How would I control this computer without a keyboard/mouse? Is this possible? I'm using this MINI PC inside a small box and using it on stage and don't want to have to plug in a keyboard/mouse. Is there some sort of IR remote control capability?

Any help is appreciated.

The app is called MobileSheets. I purchased it in the Microsoft Store. It's a music reading app.

Re: Run As Admin...I don't think so. Although TBH I'm not sure what RAA really means.

RAA is possible only if you are an administrator. See this tutorial:

2 Connect a mouse and use that to control the computer whichever type of display you have.
- WiFi & Bluetooth mice are probably the most convenient type for your situation.
- You can also get WiFi & Bluetooth joysticks to do the same job.
- You might well find that a WiFi or Bluetooth keyboard could also suit your intended use.



IR control would be a feature of the IR receiver hardware so search for that. I think it would almost certainly be, in effect, a remote keyboard so I would not expect it to be any better a solution than a WiFi/Bluetooth mouse.
I have IR control capabilities through a TV receiver USB stick so, whilst I don't use it, it proves that solutions do exist.

I found on Amazon a small Bluetooth keyboard/trackpad and it seems to work really well!

Did you get the startup aspect sorted?

Someone here had exactly the same request and the developer provided the required command (suggesting a batch file and scheduled task which apparently worked):

start Mobilesheets automatically with Windows?

It's not as easy as Brink's drag and drop suggestion at post #4, but could be used if that simple approach doesn't pan out.
