    Blocking Standard user from changing file type associations


    Is there a way to block standard users from changing file type associations when asked? in GPO or what ever way

    This appears to be the same registry trick. Give it one more try. Because it is located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, you most likely will need to restart to make it apply. It's a global setting.

    Yeah I tried it again but it still did not work but My main goal was to stop edge from trying to hijack .PDF file extensions constancy, BUT I was able to follow these instructions, similar and this DID work the link to the post is here:
