    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 for Windows 10

    Hello

    So i noticed that for me Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 are not installed. Only C++ 2008 and 2010 basic are installed.

    My question is : does C++ 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 work with Windows 10 ? I don't know if 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 were made ONLY for Windows 7 SP1 so that's why i'm asking.

    Do C++ 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 work with Windows 10 ?

    I might need them for other apps like games and don't if i should install them or not. Please i would really love a fast reply because i really have to solve this.

    If a program you install needs a particular version, it should prompt you for that.

    There's absolutely no point in going looking and trying to find every single possible variant.

    Dalchina i think Dragon Age Inquistion needs it. I have C++ 2008 and 2010 basic but i think Dragon Age needs SP1 also to run better.

    Do C++ 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 work with Windows 10 ? I really need to know.

    Dalchina thank you for the link, but i'm still a little confused.

    It doesn't actually say there if 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 work with Windows 10. I'm assuming they do, but i'm not 100% sure.

    Do you have 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 installed on your PC ? Just need to know if they work and if they don't cause issues on Windows 10.

    Hi there

    It Works -- software that needs it will install it -- no point as others have said in loading up on to the machine every possible option because you think "Something might need it!"

    Cheers

    @Mikey89 I use a Visual C++ Redistributable AIO Repack. It contains all the C++ versions.

    One of my machines has accumulated quite a few over the years, many from before its W7 was upgraded to W10. They all co-exist comfortably in W10. I've never heard of a VC++ redistributable that doesn't.

    @Polo6RGTI & @Bree

    Thanks guys for the screenshots, but shouldn't it actually 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 appear in control panel ? Appear as in separately both 2008 and 2008 SP1 or 2010 and 2010 SP1 ?

    I remember back in Windows 7 in control panel it used to list all of them

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1

    It listed all of them if i remember right.

    @Polo6RGTI i noticed you also have nvidia driver 441.87 which is the latest. Can you please tell me, does the new driver work alright ?

    I wanted to update my GPU drivers but i searched on nvidia forums and it looks like a lot of people have issues with 441.87 driver

    In Windows 10, the latest version replaces the old one, like when you have 2019 installed, 2017 disappears.
    You can check file versions to verify, what version you have installed. 2008 SP1 should be 9.0.30729.6161.
