Am trying to open an old genealogy CD ("Mackinac Register") & followed the installation process, but all I get is "Unable to Register Servers" Error. Am I out of luck, or is there a work-around for this.

Hi, it is not apparent with which O/S your CD was originally compatible with.
As it's specialist material, you're in the best place to discover that.
Once you know that, you might have better luck using an appropriate virtual machine running under Win 10.
Otherwise you might be very lucky if you used compatibility mode when installing - rt click setup.exe (assuming that's what is used to start the installation and click Troubleshoot compatibility).
