Clearing out unwanted app at startup

I have loaded up a Wacom pad and am very happy with it.
    BUT
The Wacom desktop centre app automatically loads at startup. As I started to use the pad, this was helpful but I have now created a desktop item for that and have now tried to remove the automatic startup at booting without success.

I have looked at start-up in settings and in task manager and the app does not appear.

How do I prevent this app from starting automatically?

Thanks in advance; it is probably very straightforward but I have nnot found it!

    Hi, two possibilities
    a. Use Autoruns, free from MS - has a find feature- reveals more startup locations.

    b. It's launched from a scheduled task. Inspect your task scheduler list.

Hi; thanks for your helpful reply. I have run Autoruns and found three entries for 'Wacom'.

One is "Wacom Professional Service: Driver for Wacom Tablets" and the other two are drivers that are not installed (one mouse, one virtual hid).

So nothing like the "Wacom Desktop Center" is in the list and I am loath to remove the driver that is!

What am I missing here; do you have any pointers where I should look?

    Thanks

I don't know anything about that program personally, so can only give a general response.

Is the Wacom desktop centre app a UWP app you have downloaded from the Store, or a traditionally installed desktop program using exe's and dll's?

Try this: identify the process responsible for the Wacom desktop centre app.
Assuming it has a GUI that appears, you can use a free program like Winspy, which has a target to drag over the window; the process details will then be shown.

Assumng that it is launched as that process, find that process in the startup list.

And have you looked at your task scheduler to see if it's launched from there?

This seems to be a Wacom forum:

Oh dear; in the end it was really so simple! The Wacom program has an 'autostart' option in the file menu; turn that off and all is well!

Thank you for your helpful comments and for mentioning the Wacom Forum - both helped.
