Is there a utility to reset all W10 permissions back to defaults?

    I agree. Repairs don't work for me most of the time, too. But the best alternative you should definitely try like most of us here is to make image backups with Macrium. Clean installation can take you an entire day to do. Image restoration usually takes between 15mins, and say, 3hrs at the most depending on the state of your OS.

    Just wanted to say, like the other user, a huge huge thanks.

    At no time before in history was I about to perform a clean install, and this saved me from it. Can't thank you enough, this was my main photo processing machine with so many camera profiles and everything - would've required a whole day off work. I thought nothing would fix Windows Store either, I updated to Windows 11 and it didn't it. This fixed search indexing, security, right click hanging, Store, graphics driver issues, everything I can think of. Incredible. Thanks!

    With attached batch script you can "Add Reset Permissions to Context Menu in Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11".
