    calendar app

When I was running Win 7 Pro I had an app--Rainlendar--that displayed a month long horizontal calendar just above the taskbar. I loved it.

Now that I have upgraded to Win 10 Pro, the app is wonky. Almost every time I open the desktop the calendar has jumped ahead several months. I can reset it and it holds...not really tracked how long it holds...but eventually it's displaying September of 2020 in January. It's becoming annoying.

I have explained the problem and asked about Win 10 compatibility on the Rainlendar forums but, somewhat equivocally, been assured that it is. So no help there.

What are people using for a small visual calendar with Win 10? Any horizontal iterations?

Rainlendar should be working fine on Windows 10. Do you have the latest version?

Alternatives.. I'm using Windows calendar. Click on time/date on taskbar

And, I'm sure you know Rainlander better than I am. You can change months with arrows, page down, up etc (after you click on calendar). Press Home key to go to current month

I just downloaded and installed the current offering on one of my Desktops, Version 2.15.2 (b164) 64-bit dated Dec. 27, 2019, see no issue with it.

    Using the native Taskbar Calendar.

    Nope. The Taskbar Calendar suffices.

I have Rainlendar2...not sure there is a version beyond.

I don't know that my problem is universal. As I said, my calendar is horizontal and transparent. so it is very inconspicuous. I guess it might be the skin.

With regard to Windows calendar, I could use it but it doesn't allow me to set events or alarms. So it's not that much better than a paper calendar...wishing for one of those four inch prop-up calendars that the insurance companies used to send out.

    Well, maybe there is a newer version. Mine's 2.9 x 64 dated Aug 2011

Think you have one really old version. Go to Rainlendar site and download latest version.

Yeah, based upon the date given your version actually came out 2 or 3 years before Win10 Technical Preview was made available followed a year or so later with the first RTM/Release To Market/Manufacturing version.

Just updated to the latest version. Superficially it looks no different but that's OK...I really like this calendar. Will have to see if it cures my problem.

Anyway, thanks for the input....for some reason because my old version was Rainlendar2 I didn't think the newest version would be worth updating to.

Haven't updated to 1909 either. [shrug]
