    @Edwin

    It's weird how there's no option to choose another app by browsing to it. I've used ImageGlass berfore - it's not too bad.

    I tried as well and was able to set Irfanview as default the Open With-Choose Another App-Always Use this App route.

    And I also use Winaero Tweaker and have never had a problem with it so I don't think it's the culprit.

    I think the OP's got deeper seated problems.

    It's a nice lite app but, I still prefer Picasa!

    BTW:
    How do you pronounce IrfanView?
    I've come across "er-fon-view" or "ear-fan-view"; I think the later is proper.

    The option to browse for another app should be available through the 'Open with' dialog as per my screenshots in post #19. It may be relevant that the machine I used for that example has never used WinAero (or any other) tweaker.

    From Wikipedia:
    IrfanView (/ˈɪərfænvjuː/)

    Don't know about you but that doesn't help me much.

    Being old and knowing how American dictionaries used to handle pronunciation help, I've disliked the "new" IPA since I first saw it. I think you can take into account that the original author is not a native English speaker, and it is likely that the police will not visit you no matter how you pronounce it. I've always thought of the first two syllables as ur-fan.

    I've always used ur-fan but apparently it's pronounced ear-fan
