So your using the recycle bin as storage? Terrible idea. MS should never have called it Recycle bin, should have called it Trash bin or Garbage bin.
My main objection to this is there is only one way to get the data back out of it and that is to restore it, which means put it back where it came from. Not always a good idea.

What's wrong with "Recycle Bin"? You can actually "recycle" (Restore) contents from it as long as they weren't "Emptied" (deleted). Seems to me Recycle Bin is an apt name. And it sounds so much nicer and cleaner than trash or garbage bin

The problem is the name Recycle (in my opinion) leads people to use it as temporary storage, then when they lose all the files in it for one reason or another they get angry. Call it a Trash bin or Garbage bin and they understand it's real purpose (again, my opinion).

If you want to save files or folders, permanently or temporarily, put them in a folder somewhere, not in the Recycle bin.

Honestly, I've never heard of such a thing in all my years of computers; but if people are doing such a thing that's on them and has nothing to do with the name, which to me, is rather obvious to its intent... along with the icon.

Sorry but Microsoft can't account for lack of common sense. My opinion.

win10user999's initial post in this thread (and the topic of this thread) is what got me started on this.

Yeah, I saw the post which got me questioning your reply as I saw nothing about using the recycle bin as storage

    Ok, moving on...
