Hello again: can you check in Settings that this is On:
Only when it is on do the hotkeys work.
In what way specifically does yours not work?
If that setting is On, the create a new user for test purposes, log in as that user, and try magnifier then, after again checking Settings as shown.
If that doesn't work either you may need to do an in-place upgrade repair install -it's not an app or program, unless you have a disk image or a restore point that works for you.
You can also try from here:
Thanks.
Thank you dalchina
for answering my post.
C:\users\mac\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\see ERR_1 screenshot for full path and
err.
I get:
referral was sent by the server
if I run:
c:\program files(86)*magnifier.exe
(the only place where the little, blue, computer icon Shows)
I get: referral ser\nt by server
e I don't see the referral
If I run Win+R magnifier
I get ERR_2.
If I try what you suggested. Nothing happened.
I think I need to re-install magnifier.exe.
But I don't know where to get it.
By the way I switched users It still didn't work.
Should I create a new user?

Hi, you can't download and install it- it comes with the OS.
I don't understand the first half of your post, I'm afraid.
Magnify.exe is in C:\Windows\System32
If I typeIf I run Win+R magnifier
magnify
in the Run box, it works.
Please try that.
Now, since it could be you have some system corruption, please run
SFC /SCANNOW
from an admin command or Power shell prompt
and report the result.
If it fails, also please run
chkdsk c: /scan
and report the result.
Note: in the meantime there are other magnifier programs.

When I click C:\Windows\system32\magnifier.exe.
I get ERRt2.png
If I run Win+R magnifier
I get ERR_3.png (can't find)
When I try C:\windows\system32\sfc\scannow as administrator
I get the system cannot find the path specified.
When I run chkdsk c:\scan:
A lot of stuff happens.
In the end the magnifier gets the same errors.
I restarted the computer still no magnifier.
I tried some 3rd party magnifiers.
They leave a lot to be desired.
I need the Microsoft one. I can't read the small error messages
Without it.

You can try running
SFC /SCANNOW
from an admin or Powershell command prompt as I said before.
If your system is more substantially damaged you may need to do an in-place upgrade repair install
(tutorial available).
You may need help to do that.
Thank you dalchina,
You gave me the idea of running System Restore when you suggested in place upgrade.
I ran system restore, (not in safe mode), by mistake.
I was going to run it again in safe mode.
The Systm Restore window came up and said, "System Restore had errors znd did not change any of your files or folders"
Not true.
I noticed my desktop went back to an earlier version of my desktop.
And low and behold the Magnifier started working again.
So I'm going to leave everything just the way it is.
Thank you for your help on this project.
That's extremely fortunate- and a curious outcome of System Restore... maybe it was just that you'd restarted?
Anyway, sounds great- remember to use disk imaging routinely too.
