Video editing
Is there a video editing tool that runs on a Windows 10 64-bit computer comparable to iMovie on an Apple computer?

I do not know anything about the iMovie application you mention but I use VideoRedo and it is very good.
- There are two versions. I use VideoReDo TVSuite TVSuite. I switched from VideoReDo Plus a few years ago
- I used to use SmartCutter for this job [but that was seven years ago]
I use it to
1 trim out adverts during TV recordings [and top & tail the start & end]
2 repair defective video streams

Thanks for the reply Samuria - I looked at DaVinci Resolve and also the new video editing tool inside Windows 10 called Photo - both are Free How good are they - need to try them out - where to find tutorials

Denis, thank you for replying to my post,
VideoReDo costs money - OK if it provides something beyond what the freeware does. I see it can remove advertisement from movie recordings, I find that interesting but I rarely watch movies maybe my son can use it, I will ask him.
The VideoReDo trial version used to have no limitations other than being time limited so perhaps it remains that way.
At the time I switched from SmartCutter, VideoReDo had a much better user interface but, although I understand that has been fixed, SmartCutter trial versions put a background image on all edited files. So I would not recommend trying it unless you can be sure of keeping your original source files & being patient enough to repeat your editing if you eventually buy it.

hitfilm is used to make block buster films and has massive amount of video tutorials on YouTube
