    Well regarding the topic -- here's some history...

    Years back Sergey proposed the same thing - I and @adamf (voluntary banned I believe) opposed it based on the fact that it was against the forum rules to promote your own site here - anyway it got nasty and Admin rightly deleted most of those posts - but suffice to say, there are many other sites for freeware (that's not developed here) and also bear in mind a lot of it is in fact Adware... so blame me if you will
