    Show file & folder sizes on HDD


    I have used the app simply called SCANNER by Steffen Gerlach ver2.10 free of cost. If it is given the enormous time it needs to scan a HDD it very nicely displays the distribution of Files / Folders all round the disk. As below:

    If too many apps are running, eg., FireFox x3, Excel x2, Word x1, Explorer x1 etc., then the time may be too long or the drain on resources so great one has to eventually just switch off.

    My query is: are other such scanners available which can do this heavy-lifting?

    wiztree, treesize - cushion style maps and conventional tree display - recommended in a tutorial on saving space in the Tutorial section e.g.

    Pretty quick. Free.
    Antibody Software - WizTree finds the files and folders using the most disk space on your hard drive
