Unable to see messages of Postbox file: #PB#Unsent Messages

    Postbox (7.0.8) - Windows 10 (64 bit) - Desktop PC

In windows explorer (Appdata>Roaming>PostboxApp>Profiles>xyz.default>Mail>LocalFolders), I can see a file named as #PB#Unsent Messages with size of 1.6gb. However, there is no corresponding file or folder with the same name when I look in the Postbox programme.

Unable to see messages of Postbox file: #PB#Unsent Messages-capture.jpg

I copied the above file from explorer and imported into Postbox but no messages show up. I have also tried to repair the file within Postbox through its Properties but still nothing shows up from this 1.6gb file.

I have used many email addresses in the past belonging to POP and IMAP and am curious to find which old email messages this huge file contains. Grateful for any input as to how to see whats in the file.

bro67 - I have tried all the steps mentioned at Postbox's Support page but unfortunately nothing has helped.

Bro67 - The above Postbox Support page says the following:

In order to reclaim unused disk space, Postbox may compact the per folder "mbox" files that store your email. When compacting local mail folders (including POP accounts), Postbox will keep a backup of the original folder alongside the compacted version. For example, if the folder is Inbox, the on-disk backup will be named #PB#Inbox. Only one backup (per folder) is kept around at any time. It is safe to delete these #PB# files.

The above now confirms that my file #PB#Unsent Messages is a backup copy of the original compacted folder. The issue now is that I do not have the original 'Unsent Messages' folder; so how can I now view the content of this on-disk backup file.

That you are going to have to ask PB. I stopped using PB because it had so many issues and went strictly with Outlook.
