Hi looks like I have to buy indesign then......strange how a program like acrobat pro, designed around PDFs won’t do it but indesign will.....
will see if there is a free or cheaper alternative to indesign to do what I want..
thanks
if you want to manually delete background from manual, you can (originally) do it with Indesign (paid, and very expensive ...). But you have to be aware, that background is done by inserting black objects in bottom layer, hence - you'd have to delete them manually page by page.
With Acrobat, you could do that printing trick. Print in separation colors, delete black pages .., like it was described in that link I provided couple of posts back
But you have so little text on those pages (mostly numbers), which part is hard to read?
Hi
its my Wife who has poor vision, it’s the bricks on a black background.....
will look for your description on how to do it in acrobat.......but there are 420 pages, think it will take forever....
thanks
Found this one, it’s identical to the Official Lego offering, as far as I can tell.....but only 49MB

Wow
thanks so much for trying.....not sure what you mean by wrong colours !?
the colours of the bricks etc do need to be correct, it’s just the black background that needs changing to white.....
trying to get my head round the print to file idea, does this retain the colours and just remove the black background ?
really appreciate your help
thanks
Wrong colors - because they are reverted (black become white, but yellow become blue etc...) So, I guess grey will not suit either..
Back to editing. Scribus is at 65% loading atm (for 15 minutes..)
Will try to search the file Bro linked to it.
Color separation should work with correct colors. It is how documents are printed with traditional printing machines... not modern laser printers. Each color has its own matrix, and when they sum up, you get all colors (CMY) K is the black - it is printed separately. If you do this in pdf file, Black ssould be on separate pages, and you could delete it.
