I really don't recommend these types of programs -- if something fails to uninstall via "Normal uninstallation" methods or via the windows standard uninstall then either something is wrong with your system or the application you are trying to uninstall or both.
Best way is to regularly take clean image backups then you can always restore to the state you had before the program that won't uninstall cleaner was in your system.
With Windows updates and changes happening quite fast these days I'd certainly want to keep any non Windows stuff from mucking around with the registry --including a lot of 3rd party Anti Virus software.
The days for these types of programs IMO is well and truely over -- all this stuff is so last century (C20). Modern OS'es need to be kept clean and backed up regularly. Most of these "Free offers" are actually just to get you on to a mailing list where some totally unrelated company can offer you products -- there's quite a market for lists of email addresses and names that companies who want to market specific products will eagerly buy as they can target their potential market much more accurately than by using a "Global generic advertising campaign".
How in the world am I on the UK's Conservative (Tory) party's mailing list a day after a UK election is called when I'm neither an eligible voter or a UK resident !!!!!!!! -- I'm not sure what I bought online to get on that list but it shows the efficiency of that particular party !!!!

I don’t know about that @jimbo45, I’ve been using Revo pro for years & it has worked when the standard uninstall had failed. In my case I had problems with WinDVD 12 not installing due to remnants of the previous version. This cleaned everything up.
I’ve never received other offers from bitsdujour’s developers/third party other than their daily offers.

Revo Uninstaller is best thing that happened to me (together with Toatal Commander). I would agree with you if all programs and games have perfect uninstallation routines but they rarely do leaving much garbage in files and registry which can make bad mess. Last couple of years can also uninstall APPs and have disk cleaning ability which cleans some stuff even Disk Cleanup misses. Works even better if you install programs thru Revo. Also has "Forced uninstall" for programs that can't be uninstalled in any other way.
I've been using Revo since XP and never had any problems caused by it. Real life saver.

Revo Uninstaller Pro rarely fails me; I've been using it for a few years now. The only caution from me: be careful about using Advanced scan, it can be a little caustic. Best to use Safe or Moderate scan.
