I need Windows 7 Icons on my Windows 10 computer, please.

I have Windows 10, 64 bit, Version 1903, but I'd like to have the Windows 7 icons which showed on my Windows 7 screen. There was an internet icon, a photo icon to view my personal photos, a recycle icon, and several other icons. Those icons made accessing everything easily. Please advise on how to get those same icons on Windows 10. Thank you.

Go to Settings/Personalization/Themes/Related Settings/Desktop icon settings.

You'll have to create a Desktop shortcut for the Pictures folder and the Browser yourself.

Thank you so much. That gave those icons back. I appreciate that so much. Do you know what those icons are called that are preinstalled on Windows 7?

You “Want” to be able to theme, not needing to theme in other words. There is plenty of information out there on themes and even third party software that you can install to overlay the GUI theme.

The changing of the system icons in the Taskbar Notification area will revert to the embedded system icons if you update Windows 10 to the next upgrade edition. It is only Cosmetic when you make these changes.

Besides the Desktop Icons, the only other icon that was a default on W7, that I know of, is the Real Internet Explorer icon...

... takes a Registry hack to get that back!

Yesterday I knew exactly what I wanted when I posted about needing the icons, except I could not recall what the item was called. After a while of not being able to recall, I called a local retail technology store and an employee helped me solve the mystery. What I was wanting is called a Dell Dock Application and once downloaded, useful icons will be there on the main screen such as checking email, viewing photos, etc. I found a download finally. Thank you all again. :)
